Telepath response units were components built into the cybernetic spider-like bodies of monks of the B'omarr Order, who communicated with each other telepathically. The units were black and sat atop the the monks' bodies.[1] In 4 ABY,[3] at least one of the monks based in Jabba's Palace on the planet Tatooine was equipped with a telepath response unit.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Telepath response units first appeared in the 1983 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.[2] The units were first named in the 2016 reference book Star Wars Character Encyclopedia: Updated and Expanded, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
