"Put a large pan of ionized water on to boil and cook the noodles as per preference. Most prefer a softened consistency while those with more robust jaws insist on a crunchy texture."
―Gormaanda[1]

Teltiar noodles were a type of blue-colored noodle that were usually mushy and slightly cooked. They could also be served as a dish alongside vegetables; that dish was served lukewarm.[2]

The noodles were used by the chef Gormaanda in her Glowblue Noodles and Chav recipe, which instructed cooking the pasta in ionized water per the reader's preference; she maintained that most preferred a softened texture, but some with more robust jaws chose for a more crunchy one. The recipe for teltiar noodles and chav served as an installment of Gormaanda's Culinary Corner, a column written by the chef and included in the CoCo District Edition of the HoloNet News as well as newsfeeds across the Galactic Republic[1] in 22 BBY.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Teltiar noodles first appeared in HoloNet News Vol. 531 #50, an issue of the HoloNet News website, which was published online[1] on April 4, 2002.[4] It was written by Pablo Hidalgo and Paul Ens.[5]

They later made an appearance as a craftable item in the 2003 Sony Online Entertainment massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided,[2] which closed in 2011.[6] In the game, they are misspelled as "Teltier Noodles," and player characters would receive boosted attributes after eating them.[2]
