The Temple of Fire, also known as Tmmn Zyrth in the Massassi language, was a Massassi temple on the moon Yavin 4 used for blood sacrifices.[3] It was built in 5000 BBY[1] under the leadership of the Dark Lord of the Sith Naga Sadow.[4]
Massassi built the temple in 5000 BBY.
Designed as a cone-shaped structure,[3] the Temple concealed Sadow's ship, the Derriphan-class battleship Corsair, beneath the floor.[5] Sadow was aware of an ancient prophecy about the return of the Dark Lords of the Sith and placed a mighty Sithspawn beast known as a Sith wyrm within the temple as a guardian against the future Dark Lord of the Sith.[3]
When Exar Kun arrived on the moon, he was captured by the Massassi and led to that temple to be executed. However, using the dark power of the Sith amulets, he defeated the Sith wyrm that Sadow had created and was worshiped as a god by the Massassi.[3]
In 3996 BBY,[1] the Jedi Order created a Wall of light that destroyed the Temple of Fire.[6]
