The Ternin system was a star system that was located in the Alchenaut sector,[1] within the Western Reaches portion of[2] the Expansion Region.[1] The system was the origin point of Ternin tree slings,[3] a low-technology type of slings.[4]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Ternin system was established in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which placed the system in grid square L-16.[1]

Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for Ternin tree slings in relation to the Ternin system.
