- "Terraforming will continue, and that is final."
- ―Ambassador Ketas
Terraforming was a process in which a planet's environment was altered. The Solodoe species wished to terraform the planet Plin Minor, but the native Plinovians objected due to resulting destruction of their natural habitat.[1] The planet Lah'mu was a terraformed world, while Eadu hosted a terraforming operation owned by Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin.[2] In 18 BBY,[3] the Galactic Empire began a terraforming project on the planet Ilum.[4]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary states that the Galactic Empire began a terraforming project on Ilum fifty-two years before the Starkiller Incident, which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates to 34 ABY. Therefore, the terraforming project on Ilum must have begun in 18 BBY.
