Tertiary Kesmere was a cloudy, storm-wracked world[2] located in the Tertiary Kesmere system, a part of the Raioballo sector in the New Territories portion of the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It was the homeworld of the[3] winged[2] hornagaunt species,[3] including the wing-clipped pet Grendel.[2] Between 4 ABY and 12 ABY, Tertiary Kesmere fell within the borders of the Pentastar Alignment.[1]

Tertiary Kesmere was first mentioned in "Mission 4: Showdown on the Sulon Star," the fourth installment in "Unfinished Business," a series of five scenarios for use with the Wizards of the Coast Star Wars Miniatures game. The series was written by Abel G. Peña and Jason Fry, and the fourth scenario was published on Wizards.com on May 5, 2005.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Tertiary Kesmere system, and therefore Tertiary Kesmere itself, in grid square L-4.[1]
