The thafslanu was a creature whose hide could be used to create clothing. While living as a hermit on the planet Pasaana, Lando Calrissian wore a sensor-shrouding coat made from thasflanu hide.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The thafslanu was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the 2019 reference book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the similarly-named thafsalnu was a creature mentioned in the article "Wind Raiders of Taloraan," written by James L. Cambias and published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 5 in 1995.[2]
