Thaneespi was a Mon Calamari deck officer and tactical analyst serving aboard the Home One at the Battle of Endor, where she served as first officer alongside Admiral Ackbar. Before 4 ABY was one of several leaders among the Mon Calamari diaspora that resulted from the Imperial invasion of Mon Calamari, who left the planet to escape the Imperial oppression. While onboard Home One during the Endor battle, Thaneespi was able to witness the defeat of the Galactic Empire and the destruction of Death Star II.

Behind the scenes

Thaneespi has possibly been made into an action figure by Hasbro, this is disputed as the figure was simply named "Mon Calamari Officer" and shares features with other Mon Calamari present on the bridge Home One. Captain Verrack is another possibility.
