Official description[]

Nash and the droids recover a part.

Plot summary[]

Romi's assignment[]

Padawan Wes Vinik and R0-M1 (Romi) arrive at Nash's garage to deliver an accelerator. They find Nash Durango directing Nubs in arranging stacks of boxes. She thanks them for bringing the accelerator for her starship Crimson Firehawk since she has to do a delivery for her parents tonight. Vinik has to leave for her mission but offers the services of his astromech droid R0-M1, who nods her head.

After Vinik leaves, Durango says she and Nubs will fix the venting duct, while Romi and RJ-83 will install the accelerator. The droids head to work, but argue about installing the accelerator. Romi attempts to force the accelerator into its casing but ends up causing it to fall to the ground and break. Durango is distraught that her accelerator has broken in half, since the ship needs it to start. Nubs suggests taking the accelerator to Marlaa Jinara but Romi races off. Durango attempts to tell her that she doesn't have to do it alone.

The stolen accelerator[]

At the junkyard, the Ugnaught Eunice Ino seeks an accelerator from Jinara, warning that she has to deal with an angry Hutt. Jinara however has run out of accelerators and invites Ino to search the junkyard for one. Ino grumbles before walking off. Jinara tells her two guard droids JG-1 and PT-3 to keep an eye on Ino since she is known to steal parts. Shortly later, Romi arrives with Durango, Nubs and RJ-83 and the busted accelerator. Ino offers to fix the busted accelerator, much to the delight of Solay.

Ino eyes the accelerator and decides to steal it. JG-1 watches over her behind a table. Realizing the droids are watching her, Ino creates a distraction by collapsing a pile of junk near the droids. While Jinara and her guests are distracted, Ino pockets the accelerator. After attending to the mess, Jinara and Durango discover that Ino and the accelerator are missing. Jinara realizes that Ino stole the accelerator. Durango fears that Ino is taking the accelerator to chop shop while Romi insists on going alone. Jinara advises them to go as a team, which Durango, Nubs and PT-3 agree with.

The first attempt[]

Romi races ahead to the gate of Ino's chop shop, where he is greeted by a TT-8L/Y7 gatekeeper droid. Translating for Romi, Durango asks if the gatekeeper droid could let them in. When the gatekeeper droid refuses, Durango distracts the droid while RJ-83 climbs on top of it and disables it. The gates open. Durango, Romi, Nubs, RJ-83 and PT-3 head inside the chop shop, hiding behind boxes. They find Ino preparing to install the accelerator inside her ship while listening to music. She is guarded by a pair of massiffs.

Durango comes up with a plan for RJ-83 and PT-3 to lead the massifs away while Nubs distracts Ino. Durango tells Romi to wait for her signal before she gets the accelerator. She tells Romi that they need to work as a team in order for their plan to work. RJ-83 knocks over a canister, which leads the massiffs away. Nubs uses the Force to dislodge a ball, leading Ino away. Against Durango's orders, Romi rushes to get the accelerator but runs into a massiff, which growls at him. Ino thanks her pet massiff for cornering the intruder, while the second massiff corners Durango and Nubs. RJ-83 and PT-3 try to distract the creature.

Working as a team[]

Ino confiscates Nubs's lightsaber and locks the children and the droids behind a force-field in a storeroom. Durango tells her that they only want their accelerator back. Ino is unmoved and says that she needs the accelerator to fix the Hutt's ship. She warns them not to go anywhere. The two massiffs guard the storeroom. Durango tells the team to look for a way out, but Romi is despondent. Durango reassures the astromech droid that everyone makes mistakes and breaks things sometimes. This cheers up Romi. Durango tells Romi that people work better in a team and that they will find a way out.

Romi comes up with a plan that involves Nubs using the Force to shut off the gate. RJ and PT will then distract the massiffs while the others get the accelerator. Durango thanks Romi for her plan, calling her a droid genius. Nubs uses the Force to raise the lever, while RJ-83 and PT-3 lead the reptilian massiffs on a chase. The other three rush towards the accelerator. Nubs uses the Force to retrieve his lightsaber and attempts to move the accelerator. Ino realizes they have broken free and attacks Nubs with an electrostaff. While the two duel, Durango and Romi rush towards the accelerator.

Ino blocks their path and attacks Durango, knocking her to the ground. With Durango's leg stuck under a canister, she tells Romi to get the accelerator, but to wait for her signal. Nubs duels with Ino while the other droids distract the massiffs. As PT-3 and RJ-83 lead the reptiles towards Ino, Nubs knocks her against a generator. While Ino is incapacitated, Romi fires up her rockets and retrieves the accelerator. Nubs frees Durango and the group flee. Ino sends her massiffs after the younglings and the droids. With the help of the droids, Nubs blocks the path of the massiffs by toppling several crates and boxes.

The group flee back to Nash's garage, where Romi and RJ-83 work together to install the accelerator on top of the Crimson Firehawk. Durango thanks Romi and RJ-93 for their teamwork. They are joined by Jinara, JG-1, Nubs, and PT-3 for a group huddle.
