"The Elder" is a manga adaptation of "The Elder," an episode of Star Wars: Visions. It was written by Kamome Shirahama and was published in Japan on May 25, 2022 in Big Gangan Vol.06, as the first part of manga adaptations of the television series.[1]

Star Wars Anime Visions Will Include What Became of the Jedi, a Rock Opera, and More by Daniel Robson on IGN (backup link archived on September 22, 2021) establishes that the events of "The Elder" occur before Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, which are dated to 32 BBY by Star Wars: Timelines. It also takes place hundreds of years after the defeat of the Sith, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 1032 BBY. Therefore, "The Elder" must take place between 832 BBY and 32 BBY.
