The Empire Strikes Back Monthly was the third iteration of Marvel UK’s Star Wars comic, which continued both strips and the numbering system of previous incarnation, The Empire Strikes Back Weekly.

The series continued to reprint stories from Marvel Comics' American Star Wars series, along with several other strips to help bulk out its larger pagination.

After 19 monthly editions, with #159 the publication retitled itself to simply Star Wars Monthly.
