"The Final Fight" is a short story written by Calliope Glass with illustrations by Katie Cook that was published in the young readers book Star Wars Galactic Storybook released January 6, 2021. It adapts Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.
Plot summary[]
After learning of the return of Darth Sidious, Rey continued her training. Since the Resistance needed to find Exegol, they sent Rey and her team to find a Sith wayfinder. They traveled to Pasaana, where they found the Blade of Ochi of Bestoon. They then met Babu Frik to force C-3PO to translate it. They traveled to Kef Bir to find the wayfinder. At the Death Star II wreckage, Kylo Ren dueled her and destroyed the wayfinder. Rey triumphed, but after feeling Leia Skywalker Organa Solo become one with the Force, Rey healed him. In fear, Rey fled to Ahch-To. Luke Skywalker appeared to her as a Force ghost and convinced her to go to Exegol. Once there, Rey confronted the Emperor, and was joined by a redeemed Kylo Ren. At the same time, the Resistance arrived to destroy the fleet of Xyston-class Star Destroyers. Rey called on the old Jedi to reflect the Emperor's lightning, destroying him and the line of the Sith and saving the galaxy. Solo healed her, then Rey traveled to Tatooine.
