The Guides were the dashta eels that interacted with Cestians. They acted as priests, prophets, healers, and advisors. Living beneath the surface of Ord Cestus in the Dashta Mountains, they lived in hidden grottos until they fully developed. The X'Ting and other Cestians forced into labor by the Five Families of Cestus Cybernetics looked to the Guides for hope and good fortune.
