The Idiot was a face card that was part of a sabacc deck. It held a value of zero.[1] However, combined with a two and a three, the Idiot allowed to form the Idiot's Array, a winning hand that could even trump a Pure Sabacc of positive 23.[2] Its equivalent in the Corellian Spike variant of the game was called the sylop.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
Several sabacc cards were shown in "Idiot's Array," the ninth episode of the first season of the animated television series Star Wars Rebels. All of them bore inscriptions in Aurebesh indicating their names and numerical values. "The Idiot" was one of those cards.[1]
