The New Jedi Order: Dark Tide I: Onslaught is the abridged audiobook version of the novel of the same name, written by Michael A. Stackpole. The audiobook was performed by Anthony Heald with abridgment by Sharon Mattlin. It was originally released by Random House Audio on February 1, 2000 as a two cassette tape set.^[4] On February 20, 2007 it was released digitally.^[1]

It is a perilous time for the New Republic. Just when unity is needed most, mistrust is on the rise. Even the Jedi feel the strain, as rogue elements rebel against Luke Skywalker's leadership.
