"The Ordeal of Boba Fett" is a short story written by Michael Allen Horne, originally published in the Dark Empire Sourcebook and later archived on Hyperspace.
Plot summary[]
Just after the destruction of Jabba the Hutt's sail barge, bounty hunter Dengar stumbles upon a badly wounded Boba Fett, who has just escaped from the Great Pit of Carkoon, and transports him to a medical facility for treatment. As Fett lies in a coma, Dengar ponders over his injuries, showing disgust at the damage the Sarlacc had inflicted. After awakening from his coma, both Fett and Dengar leave Tatooine, bound for Nar Shaddaa.
