"The Pandora Effect" is a comic story originally published in Marvel UK's The Empire Strikes Back Monthly 151, written by Alan Moore. It was later reprinted and colorized in Classic Star Wars: Devilworlds 2.
Plot summary[]
After departing from the planet Attahox, Han Solo, Princess Leia Organa, and Chewbacca encountered Vor Childermoss, a ruthless and cold-blooded captain of a pirate ship. Childermoss then chased the Millennium Falcon into the Hellhoop, an area of space from which no one returns.
The Millennium Falcon and Childermoss's ship were then swallowed up by an unidentified ship, and their crews awoke to find themselves imprisoned by a religious cult, the Five, that focuses on pain and cruelty. Childermoss and his crew are killed when they draw blasters. The cult spared Han, Leia, and Chewbacca's lives, but Chewbacca was transported to a Menagerie and Leia was psychologically attacked by Suzal, an elderly member of the Five.
Chewbacca broke out of the Menagerie and unleashed Wutzek, a strange force captured by the Five centuries ago. Wutzek then kills all of the Five, allowing the Millennium Falcon and its crew to escape.
