The Pinnacle was a large rock spire located along the Mos Espa podrace circuit,[2] in the middle of the Mos Espa Grand Arena on Tatooine. Centuries ago, the rock pinnacle was a sacred site for tribes of Tusken Raiders. In rock-hewn caves, this indigenous species performed sacrifices and rituals intended to promote successful hunting seasons. Tusken spiritual leaders retold sacred stories to the next generation in saga rooms. Long since chased away from their hallowed rock by screaming podracer engines and tourists, modern-day Tusken Raiders regularly shoot at podracers during competitions to avenge their ancestors. By 32 BBY some ancient caves in the spire were turned into tourist attractions and expensive tourist accommodations were set up.[1]
