The Rebel Files was a compilation of information, reports, and accounts of several leaders of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.

The files were later recovered decades after the end of the Galactic Civil War in an excavation on the planet Durkteel for the construction of a new comm tower. The construction crew responsible sent the compilation to the incubent planetary governor Vaxvissh Kal Ness, who, since Leia Organa was one of the few surviving high ranking Alliance members, then sent it to the New Republic. Falling into the hands of Major Heck Ensio, the artifact was again given away to Master Archivist Mordianius, who would sent it to Commander Korr Sella of the Resistance, so that she may give it to General Leia Organa, leader of the Resistance. For posterity, Organa and other surviving former Rebels among the Resistance, such as Gial Ackbar, wrote in their own thoughts and insights gained in the years since.[1]
