Behind the scenes[]

A Bob's Big Boy appears within Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina, where one of the two refers to Lando Calrissian as "Super Fly," a reference to the movie of the same name. Tag Greenley also says "Bob's your uncle," a British phrase that means "and there you have it" or "quickly."

In the scene of panic when Jabba is being choked, Arthur Dent can be seen reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Also, when Tag, Bink, and Manuel Both-Hanz are leaving Tatooine, they pass a spinner from the movie Blade Runner.

When Palpatine arrives on the Death Star II, his honor guard includes two Cylon Centurions from the original Battlestar Galactica. Janus Greejatus' comment that "you fight a rebellion with the Sith Lord you have, not the one you wish you had" is a reference to Donald Rumsfeld's controversial statement, "you go to war with the Army you have, not the Army you want."

At the celebration on Endor, Yogi and Boo-Boo Bear can be seen dancing with the Ewoks. In addition, two versions of Anakin Skywalker's Force ghost, one young and one old, are looking at each other with confusion, a reference to George Lucas replacing Sebastian Shaw with Hayden Christensen for the Force ghost scene.
