Publisher's summary [ ] The young scavenger known as Rey had always known she was someone special. She didn't know her family and led an ordinary life on Jakku, but deep down she was certain that a great fate awaited her. The course of her existence changed dramatically when she encountered a small droid in the planet's sandy desert. This event encouraged him to contact the Resistance and take part in the war against a bellicose and ruthless First Order.
