The Shafr Anthology of Galactic Language, Second Edition was a publication that was released in 38 ABY by The Shafr Center Press[1] of the Shafr Center academic institution. Those organizations,[2] as well as the anthology itself, shared their name with the Shafr system of the Outer Rim Territories.[3]
The Shafr Anthology of Galactic Language, Second Edition included an article by Doctor Milanda Vorgan, Associate Professor of Xenolinguistics at the University of Charmath. The article, titled "The Written Word: A Brief Introduction to the Writing Systems of Galactic Basic," offered a brief overview of several of the galaxy's most prominent writing systems used for the Galactic Basic Standard language.[1]
