The Shroud's syndicate was led by the intelligence operative known as the Shroud and it was an extensive network of assets and agents throughout the galaxy during the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. His assets received codenames, with a letter designating their assigned affiliation or location and a numeric designation, such as Asset R-3 within the Republic. Asset C-5 and Asset O-9 were dispatched to the moons CZ-198 and Oricon respectively; Asset I-44 was tasked with analyzing the Empire's mining efforts on Makeb, and Assets R-104, R-89, and R-12 were all tasked with infiltrating Supreme Chancellor Leontyne Saresh's inner circle.
