"The Slug Named Grendel" is a short narrative story published in The Star Wars Sourcebook in 1987. It is an in-universe excerpt from the opening of eponymous work of fiction. It was reprinted in the second edition of the book in 1994.
Plot summary[]
In an excerpt from The Slug Named Grendel, Sosakar recounts the story of Flandon Sweeg, captain of the Darkfire, who sought to kill the mighty exogorth Grendel.[1]
