The Star Wars 3 is the third issue of an eight-issue adaptation of the original 1974 rough draft screenplay for George Lucas's Star Wars franchise, titled The Star Wars. The third issue was released on November 6, 2013.

Opening Crawl[]

THE STAR WARS 3
Alerted to an impeding Imperial attack and invasion, Jedi General Skywalker organized a vailant defense of the planet Aquilae against an immense Space Fortress. But Skywalker's efforts were undermined by traitors in the Senate who welcomed the Empire.

Young Jedi Annikin Starkiller was dispatched to retrieve the headstrong Princess Leia and return her to safety within the hidden fortress beneath the Palace of Lite. Elsewhere, the convoy carrying Aquilae's King Kayos was destroyed during the Empire's bombardment of the planet.

Meanwhile, aboard the Space Fortress, two construction droids, Artwo Detwo and See Threepio, terrorized by the ongoing battle, escaped in a life-pod to Aquilae below...
