Around 3665 BBY, during the Great Galactic War, the Sith Lord Ferrid undertook a mission to steal a Galactic Republic superweapon for the reconstituted Sith Empire. Ferrid was successful in his quest and managed to turn the weapon on the Republic before being captured by enemy forces and sent to the maximum security detention facility on Belsavis.
