"Today, we began a war--one that I have already fought twice. Twice our Empire has set the galaxy ablaze. Twice we have tried to burn away the hypocrisies and weaknesses of the Republic and their Jedi. Twice we have failed. We must not fail again [...] for there is precious little tinder left to keep our fire burning."
Darth Malgus.[src]

A third Galactic War broke out across the galaxy between the reconstituted Sith Empire and the Jedi Order following the Order of Zildrog campaign. Before the conflict started, the Eternal Alliance chose an ally to support during the renewed conflict.[1]

The New Essential Chronology provides the date of 22 BBY for the opening battle of the Clone Wars. The date of this conflict can therefore be placed at some point after Desolous' birth.
