"The Jedi are renewed allies of the Republic. Our people have seen that the Sith are vulnerable whenever we stand united. This war will be dark and brutal and vicious. But we will stand against that darkness together. And together, we will win."
Ardinondu Dipolus Daeruun[src]

A third Galactic War broke out across the galaxy between the reconstituted Sith Empire and the Jedi Order, Galactic Republic, and the Eternal Alliance.

History

Origins

Following the fall of the Eternal Empire, the Galactic Republic and Sith Empire had begun to prepare for the renewal of open scale warfare. Conflict began as far back as the Order of Zildrog campaign, where the Galactic Republic and Sith Empire were lead to the artificial world of Iokath as part of a plot by the Order. Following the Eternal Alliance's intervention, the conflict was won in the Republic's favor, with Empress Acina's death and the Empire withdrawing.

Later on, Zildrog was reawakened by the Order, who took command of the Gravestone and utilized the warship to wipe out the Alliance's Eternal Fleet. Without the fleet, Gravestone, or the Eternal Throne, the Alliance lost its status as a Galactic Superpower, with many members returning to their original factions. This further provoked conflict between the Republic and Empire, both of whom set their sights towards the hidden Colony on the ancient Jedi world of Ossus.
