The Third Systems Army[1] was one of ten Systems Armies of the Grand Army of the Republic.[2] Because of the respect that Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi inspired within and outside of the Jedi Order, he was promoted to the military rank of[1] High Jedi General[2] as the commanding officer of several units of the Galactic Republic at the start of the Clone Wars.[1]
These units included the Open Circle Fleet and the Republic Third Systems Army, with Clone Marshal Commander Cody of the 7th Sky Corps serving as his second-in-command.[1] As a System Army, the Third Systems Army consisted of two Sector Armies and contained 294,912 clone troopers.[3]

Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 18 (Guide to the Galaxy: Sectors of the Galaxy) establishes that High Jedi Generals led Systems Armies. Since Obi-Wan Kenobi led a Systems Army and was a Jedi General, he must be a High Jedi General.
