Thisspias was a rocky, temperate planet[2] located in the galaxy's Expansion Region.[1] It was the homeworld of the Thisspiasian species,[2] including the Jedi Master Oppo Rancisis.[4] The planet had been a member of the Galactic Republic for a very long time, and was also the site of many important battles, particularly during the Great Manifest Period.[2]
Thisspias was led by the Blood Monarchy, and a Blood Monarch—one Blood Monarch joined the Galactic Republic in the hopes of both securing her reign and expanding Thisspias' economy.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Thisspias was first mentioned in the Star Wars Legends reference book Star Wars Episode I Who's Who: A Pocket Guide to the Characters of The Phantom Menace, which was written by Ryder Windham and released in 1999. The world was confirmed to be canon in the reference book Ultimate Star Wars, which was released in 2015.
