Thisspiasian stabilizing coils were a lightsaber attachment that took the form of a tail that wrapped around the saber's hilt. They rotated and curved to keep the blade balanced during combat. Based on traditional weaponry from Thisspias, the coils became popular with survivors of the Great Jedi Purge despite their cost of 5,500 credits.[1]
