Tholon was a[2] Wild Space[1] planet[2] located within the star system of the same name.[1] A desolate rock world with rich deposits of various ores, it was the first planet discovered by the Human scout Casti Tholon[2] by 2 ABY.[3]
Tholon was employed by Rim Commercial Mining at the time, which named the planet after her. The Wild Space world proved very profitable for Rim Commercial Mining, establishing it as one of the leading Outer Rim Territories' mining companies, and was considered the most important planet Tholon had ever discovered.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Tholon was first mentioned in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 sourcebook for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Tholon system, and therefore the planet Tholon, in grid square H-17.[4]
