The Thory Prime system,[1] also known as the Thory system, was located in the Thory sector,[3] a part of the New Territories portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] The star system was connected by hyperlanes to the Baltizaar system of the Corthenia sector and the Dohu system in the sector of the same name. By 12 ABY, the Thory Prime system lay within territory controlled by the New Republic.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

The Thory Prime system was first mentioned in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which placed the system in grid square K-7.[1] Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, noted on the Jedi Council Forums of TheForce.net that Thory Prime was created for "bookkeeping purposes" so that every sector listed in the Online Companion would have at least one corresponding system.[4] The 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare introduced the alternate designation "Thory system."[3]
