Biography

Meeting Han Solo

Han first met Thrackan in his early teens while searching for clues about his own origins. When he saw the striking resemblance, he knew that they were related. He soon discovered that Thrackan was not the type of person he would want to claim as family, but he stayed with him for a short time in an attempt to learn about the rest of his family. His stay with Thrackan ended when his cousin turned him over to Garris Shrike, from whom Han had previously run away.

The two met again 18 years ABY while Han's family was on a diplomatic mission to end the Corellian Crisis. It was revealed that at the heart of the crisis was Sal-Solo himself—the leader of the racist Human League who had declared himself Diktat. His attempts where foiled by Han's family (namely, his children), and Sal-Solo was arrested. He spent the next eight years at Dorthus Tal prison, though he was released during the Yuuzhan Vong War, during which time Sal-Solo fired the main weapon on Centerpoint Station, after it was unlocked by Anakin. In the Battle of Fondor. Though the blast also destroyed the Hapan fleet, it caused serious damage to the Vong fleet, and Sal-Solo was hailed as a hero. He became leader of the Centerpoint Party and was elected Governor-General of the Corellian Sector a year later. A few months later, he informed the Yuuzhan Vong about the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4.

Yuuzhan Vong War

After the Fall of Coruscant, Sal-Solo traveled to Yuuzhan'tar, to meet with Shimrra Jamaane, the Supreme Overlord of the Yuuzhan Vong, and Nom Anor. He offered to sign a treaty of friendship in exchange for Corellian neutrality, but the Vong forced him to become the president of the Peace Brigade, Jedi hunters working for the Yuuzhan Vong. Sal-Solo was captured at Ylesia (by Jaina Solo, adding insult to injury), and was extradited back to Corellia to stand trial for treason.

The infamous Thrackan Sal-Solo

Somehow, Thrackan was able to reverse his bad fortune, and returned to a position of power following the Yuuzhan Vong conflict. In the Second Corellian Insurrection, Sal-Solo served as the Head of State of the planet Corellia under the system's Prime Minister, Aidel Saxan. During this time Thracken had planned to use Anakin Solo's biometrics to activate the Centerpoint Station to use on the Galactic Alliance. However his plans were foiled when Ben Skywalker convinced the droid Anakin Sal-Solo to shut it off. Jacen Solo saw through the Force how Thrackan was a key cause of a war, that would spread out from Corellia causing pain not felt since the last War

In 40 ABY, when Saxan was assassinated and Gilad Pellaeon nearly killed as well, Sal-Solo was suspected of involvement. As it turns out, Thracken was indeed responsible for Saxan's death, by hiring Lumiya to assassinate her.

At this point in his life, he had at least three mistresses, as well as an estate that was more like a military fortress than a mansion.
