Tinta was a white, fluffy toy tauntaun owned by Jyn Erso, the daughter Galen, and Lyra Erso, while she lived in her family's homestead on the planet Lah'mu. Jyn generally kept Tinta with her other toys in her toybox, but in the year 13 BBY,[1] it and several other toys were out on her bed when the Galactic Empire arrived at the homestead in search of Galen.[2]
Behind the scenes
Tinta first appeared as a prop in the film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which was released in North America on December 16, 2016. The prop was not identified in the film, but received a name in the Star Wars: Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo and released alongside the film.
