Tiplee was a red-skinned female Jedi Master of the Jedi Order. During the Clone Wars, she served the Galactic Republic in the rank of Jedi General of the Grand Army. She often fought alongside her twin sister, Tiplar. Throughout the war, she was sent with her sister and the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker to the planet Ringo Vinda, where Tiplar was shot by Tup in a battle between her troops and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Skywalker and Tiplee then tried to find out the cause of the clone's misconduct. Some time later Tiplee traveled with three other Jedi to the planet Ord Mantell, where they searched for clues to the whereabouts of Darth Maul. She then led the search for Maul, along with Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, to a Mandalorian outpost where they found the Zabrak. Darth Maul received support from Count Dooku and involved the Jedi in a fight in which Tiplee was killed.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Tiplee: "We're late already."
Skywalker: "All right, I'm coming. It's just that, I sense something… a darkness."
Tiplee: "It is your imagination, playing tricks I think. This is the Jedi Temple, remember? Bright center of the universe."
―Tiplee and Anakin Skywalker[4]

A red-skinned female[3] of a humanoid species,[5] Tiplee lived during the Rise of the Empire era. Being sensitive to the Force, she was inducted into the Jedi Order along with her sister to be trained as a Jedi. Several years after the Battle of Naboo, Tiplee attended a lesson given by Jedi Master Tera Sinube. The training session was interrupted when Padawan Anakin Skywalker was apparently choked by someone he couldn't see.[4] Sometime after, Tiplee and her sister attained[3] the rank of Jedi Master.[5] She wielded a blue lightsaber.[3]

Jedi Master[]

In 22 BBY, the Clone Wars erupted, with the Jedi becoming the leaders of the newly created Grand Army of the Republic, as part of the Republic's pan-galactic war effort against the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[6] Along with all Jedi, Tiplee and Tiplar became Jedi Generals[3] and took Clone commander Doom[5] as their clone commander.[3]

Ringo Vinda[]

In c. 20 BBY,[7] in an effort to relieve the ring space station in Ringo Vinda's orbital station, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, Tiplar and Tiplee led the clone troopers against the droid force under Admiral Trench aboard the station. After several rotations, they reached[3] the communication center[5] and captured it. Their next plan was to conquer the command center. But when they prepare to start the offensive, Clone trooper CT-5385, nicknamed "Tup", has been plagued by strange mental disorders which leave him temporarily confused.[3]

TipleeMournsTiplar-TU

Tiplee cradles her sister's body.

When the Jedi and clone forces fought their way into the station's command center, Tup suddenly went into some form of trance. Upon seeing Tiplar while in one of those blackouts, Tup unexpectedly snuck up on her and kills her with a blaster shot to her head, Tiplee witnessed the death of her sister. After retreating back to base, Tiplee knelt by Tiplar's body, mourning her sister. While Skywalker interrogated Tup, Tiplee came to observe, standing in the doorway. Tup noticed her watching him and tried to attack her despite being restrained in binders. She quickly stopped him in his tracks by using the Force to lift him up and held him against the wall until he calmed down. She initially showed anger towards him, as he had killed her sister, but at a nod from Skywalker, she controlled herself and let him down. Afterwards, the Republic forces were forced to withdraw and Tup was sent to Kamino.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Tiplee's design, alongside that of her sister Tiplar, was based on concept art for a female Sith that was cut from Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.[5]

In one scene of "The Unknown," the "hair" of Tiplee's 3-D model can be seen vanishing into the wall behind her head, one of the rare rendering glitches of the series.
