Tiragga was a planet[2] of the Tiragga system, in the Mieru'kar sector, located within the Outer Rim of the galaxy.[1] The planet was orbited by at least two moons. The second moon was home to a Rebel Alliance outpost during the Galactic Civil War, a large conflict between the Alliance and the Galactic Empire. At some point during the conflict, the base personnel became infected with the Direllian Plague, a fatal disease that could only be cured with the administration of Shiarha Root, a rare plant found on the world of Kirtania.[2]

Behind the scenesEdit

Tiragga was first mentioned briefly in the 1994 roleplaying game adventure The Quality of Mercy, written by Nicky Rea and later published within the first issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal. In the adventure, players journey to Kirtania in an attempt to acquire a cure for the Direllian Plague that is killing the Rebel base's personnel. The planet received entries in 1998's Star Wars Encyclopedia, and in its second edition, which was published ten years later.
