- "We could have stayed hidden in the swamps forever, if not for those accursed STAPs. They rooted us out of the trees like Gungans searching for gumbols."
- ―Tobias Pall
Tobias Pall was a sergeant in the Security Guard of the Royal Naboo Security Forces. During the invasion of the planet Naboo by the Trade Federation in 32 BBY, Pall was rooted from Naboo's swamps by Single Trooper Aerial Platforms. They were later present when Queen Amidala of the Naboo approached the Gungan Boss Nass in hopes of gaining their allyship in fighting the Trade Federation.

Tobias Pall was a Human sergeant of the Royal Naboo Security Forces'[1] Security Guard.[2] During the invasion of the planet Naboo by the Trade Federation[3] in 32 BBY,[5] they, along with a group of fellow Security Force members, were rooted out of the swamps by Single Trooper Aerial Platforms via methods Pall stated were similar to the local Gungans hunting for gumbols.[3]
The officer was present at the Gungan Sacred Place when Queen Amidala of the Naboo—after revealing her true identity and the use of a decoy—approached the Gungan Boss Nass with an offer of alliance in an attempt to drive the Trade Federation off the planet. Pall followed Amidala's lead in kneeling before Nass and stood with her after the Gungan accepted the offer. Members of the Security Guard thereafter accompanied Amidala as the Naboo infiltrated the capital city Theed, reconquered the Theed Royal Palace, and captured Viceroy of the Trade Federation Nute Gunray.[4]
Personality and traits[]
Pall had dark skin, brown eyes, and dark hair.[2]
Equipment[]
As a member of the Security Guard, Pall wore a mustard uniform with brown armor, studded forearm plates, and boots, along with Security Guard headgear and a belt. They carried a CR-2 heavy blaster pistol.[6]
Behind the scenes[]

The New Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels introduced the name "Tobias Pall."
Tobias Pall was created as a background character for the 1999 prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, in which they were portrayed by an uncredited actor.[4] The character first appeared, however, in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace Movie Storybook, which used a screenshot from the then-unreleased film that included Pall and was published by Random House[7] in the month[8] prior to the movie's release on May 19.[9] The name "Tobias Pall" was first used in the 2003 reference book The New Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, written by W. Haden Blackman,[3] and the name was later attributed to the character from the film in "Rogues Gallery: Naboo's Finest!," included within the 145th issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine,[1] which itself was released on October 22, 2013.[10]
