Tonqu flowers were a type of flower known to the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Vong species[1] as of 29 ABY.[1][2] They used their sweet scent to lure insects to alight upon them, before trapping them there as the tonqu flower's long petal rolled up.[1] In 29 ABY,[2] former Yuuzhan Vong Executor Nom Anor compared the sentient planet Zonama Sekot to a tonqu flower, as it attracted beings and did not let them go.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The tonqu flower's only mention was in 2003's The Final Prophecy, written by Greg Keyes as part of The New Jedi Order series. Though the flower's effect suggests a carnivorous nature, no source confirms this, so this article does not treat the flower as such.
