Anthony Joseph "Tony" Gilroy (born September 11, 1956) is a writer, director and producer of film and television. Gilroy wrote additional dialogue for reshoots in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and also served as a second unit director and provided additional voices for the film. (His brother, John Gilroy, served as editor for the film.) It was later reported that although Gareth Edwards retained credit as director for the film, Gilroy essentially replaced him for the film's extensive reshoots. He is credited alongside J.J. Abrams as one of the writers of Armageddon.
