The Tract Conviction was a branch of the government of Makem Te, the Swokes Swokes homeworld. The Conviction was responsible for maintaining the immense cemetery known as the Tract and for registering penitents who wished to enter the area. Millions of flatstenders, accountants, and scribes worked for the Conviction.
