"The Trade Federation Airbase is preparing to launch an attack against Naboo. You must stop it."
Captain Quarsh Panaka to Lieutenant Sykes[2]

The Trade Federation Airbase established by the Trade Federation near the city of Theed was destroyed by the Security Force pilot Gavyn Sykes in 32 BBY late in the Invasion of Naboo.

History[]

"For the Queen!"
―Sykes dedicates the base's destruction to Naboo's Queen.[2]

The Trade Federation Droid Army invaded Naboo in 32 BBY,[1] and this base was established during that time period near the south ridge of Naboo's capital city, Theed.[2]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion of Star Wars: Episode I: Battle for Naboo. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon within the Star Wars Legends continuity.

During a skirmish with a Trade Federation convoy on its way through Widow's Valley, Lieutenant Gavyn Sykes dropped a proton bomb from his bomber on the base, hitting combustible materials and destroying the Airbase utterly.[2]

Lieutenant Sykes dedicated the Airbase's destruction to the Queen of Naboo. At the time of its destruction, the base was preparing for an attack.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

This base appears in a mission from the 2000 video game Star Wars: Episode I: Battle for Naboo. The player is asked to destroy the base, but it is not necessary and the game proceeds regardless.
