"Your vocal machanism is close to ours, but there are clearly some differences. However, I believe I could teach you to speak Minnisiat. It's a trade language widely used in the regions around our territory."
Mitth'raw'nuruodo suggests teaching a trade language to Jorj Car'das[src]

Trade languages were common languages used by merchants who did not speak a common tongue. Basic, the largest and most used language in modern galactic history, began as a trade language, but its status as a trade language during the period of the Galactic Republic was ambiguous. Chief among the modern trade languages was Bocce.[source?]

In the Outer Rim, Sy Bisti, Taarja, and Meese Caulf were used as trade languages. The Chiss used Sy Bisti and Minnisiat as trade languages.[1] On Tatooine, Jawa Trade language was used and the Squib had their own trade language. Huttese was also a trade language, acting as such anywhere the Hutts had influence.[source?]
