Transport 22 was the designation for a StarSpeeder 3000 craft owned by the Star Tours travel agency. C-3PO and R2-D2 performed maintenance and repairs on this vessel while working at the travel agency months after the Battle of Endor.[1]
A disaster nearly occurred when C-3PO, while distracted with a debate with R2-D2 regarding droid rights, failed to check the fuel pressure and shut off the main line until R2-D2 warned him at the last minute. In addition, a few times the laser cannons nearly discharged, with R2-D2 often narrowly shutting them off.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
A full-size version of this speeder appeared in the queue of the original Star Tours attraction in various Disney theme parks.[1] The speeder was repainted and modified to become a StarSpeeder 1000 in the second version of the attraction.[2]
