Trantor was an ecumenopolis located within the Trantor system of the Core Worlds and the homeworld of Trantor pigeons.

Behind the scenes

Trantor was first mentioned in the "Galaxywide NewsNets" section of the eighth issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal magazine published by West End Games in November 1995. The section was written by Paul Sudlow and Trantor was conceived as a reference to the city-planet of the same name in Isaac Asimov's Foundation series.
