Trident group one was a Separatist squadron of five droid tri-fighters that participated in the Battle of Sullust, a clash between the Separatists and the Galactic Republic,[1] in 20 BBY[2] as part of the Clone Wars. The group, along with Trident group two, aided the Sith apprentice Asajj Ventress during the battle. Ventress sent the droid fighters of Trident group one to target the starboard engines of the Venator-class Star Destroyer Resolute, and shortly after, Separatist forces were able to destroy the Republic cruiser. However, despite the loss, Republic forces were victorious in the battle.[1]

Trident group one appeared in "Nightsisters,"[1] the twelfth episode in the third season of the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The episode aired on January 7, 2011.[3]
