A troop transport was any starship or vehicle that carried troops into battle. Vehicles and vessels used by the Galactic Republic to transport troops included the Republic attack gunship and the Republic attack shuttle. Other troop transports used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems included the Multi-Troop Transport and the C-9979 landing craft.
Troop transports used by the Galactic Empire included the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, Imperial Troop Transport, and the Sentinel-class landing craft.
