Tweetu was a Jawa who lived on the planet Tatooine. During the Galactic Civil War, Tweetu and the Jawa Atetu spent some time with the Jedi Luke Skywalker in a run-down tavern on Tatooine shortly before the rescue of Luke's associate Han Solo from the palace of the crime lord Jabba the Hutt.
Behind the scenes[]
Tweetu was first mentioned in the revised draft script of the movie Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, appearing in one of the opening scenes, with Tweetu and Atetu replacing the alien Del Andues that featured in an earlier draft. However, the two characters were subsequently cut and did not make into the final version of the script.
