Tythe was a location in the galaxy. At some point after the first battle[1] of the Outer Rim planet Geonosis, which started the Clone Wars between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and Galactic Republic in 22 BBY,[2] Jedi General Anakin Skywalker fought Count Dooku at Tythe. As had occurred during their confrontation on Geonosis and at other locations, Dooku avoided defeat at the hands of Skywalker.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- "From Geonosis to Tythe, you have failed to defeat me, and today will be no different."
- ―Count Dooku's taunt against Anakin Skywalker
Tythe was mentioned in the 2017 video game Star Wars Battlefront II by the non-player character Dooku as a taunt against the player-controlled Anakin Skywalker. As the taunt only occurs in multi-player matches, which are not bound by timeline restrictions of Star Wars canon, this article does not consider Dooku's speaking of the line to be canonical.[1]
Tythe originated in James Luceno's 2005 Star Wars Legends novel Labyrinth of Evil. In Legends, Tythe was an Outer Rim Territories planet which was the site of a confrontation between Skywalker and Dooku.[3]
