UR-1060 was a star located within the UR-1060 system.[2] It lay within the Outer Moddell systems area of the Moddell subsector,[1] one of the subsectors making up the Inner Zuma Region[2] within the Outer Rim Territories' Zuma sector.[1]
UR-1060 was a member of a quintet of stars, also including UR-2650, UR-3741, UR-8827, and UR-9353, that lay at the outer edges of the Monsua Nebula.[2] Those stars were much older than the young blue giants and brown dwarfs located at the center of the nebula, and they were orbited by several planets. Slow hyperlanes and local interstellar anomalies made the stars inaccessible to hyperspace scouts[3] despite decades-long attempts at exploration.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
UR-1060 was first mentioned in the article "Endor and the Moddell Sector," which was authored by Craig Robert Carey, Daniel Wallace, and Jason Fry, and was published in Star Wars Gamer 9[3] on February 22, 2002.[4] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the star in grid square H-16.[2]
